Surface preparations should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, adhesion tests should be carried out if unsure about the substrate being adhered to. Substrates should be clean , dry , dust and grease free , free from loose debris,oxidisation, rust or any other element that may impair the adhesion of adhesives. Porous surfaces, or surfaces that oxidise may require a primer to aid the adhesion.
